I think SS members won't be driving over your cabling. Haspin riders on the other hand, are bound to ignore any roped off areas and drive wherever.

Wonder if you could feed it in some kind of conduit, for running it across road areas. Or string it over head.
I can vouch for that!!! any one remember the group of "A" holes that ran up into my tent and over some of my stuff at the fall rally?.........I was about 5 minutes from driving my truck over them:twisted:

Every rally at Haspin there is something that happens. The Samurai Brigade buzzing the trucks while on the main trail. A moron with a flash camera on an ATV taking pics of people. My biggest gripe is the dirt bikes and ATVs running through the camp after dark.

A fix for camp is razor wire around camp.

Rob,

Can you park it farther away from the shelter this year. It is tough to hear anything when it is running.

Thanks
Yeah I have 100 feet of feeder to my 120 / 240 breaker box and 150 foot leads with boxes on that. It needs to be known that nobody can drive over my leads for safety reasons.

Thanks guys for bringing this up. Rob, I sent you a pm last night asking you to call me to chat about options.

It would be nice to supply the shelter with power because it is a central location, but the bigger generators are SO loud that it makes it impossible to hear.
I know you have done a lot of work and preparation with the generator. I also think you have been extremely gracious in offering power to everyone. That is awesome, and I thank you for that. We just have to figure out a better layout.

Rob, remember two years ago when you set up the AV equipment and we had "Crusher" movie night? The shelter has always been a gathering place like that. Last year with the generator right beside the shelter, everyone scattered. Maybe move the generator in the direction away from shelter near the abandoned power/light pole.

Sorry for the crudeness of the pic. (tried to do something quick)

I was going to bring my measure wheel. The cable foe rhe shelter is 140 feet long to the breaker box then another 100 feet to the genset. If I can get it by the little road it would be easier to refuel the unit. That was my idea. I will give you a call around 3 and we Cal talk some more about it then.

Not Happy. Jeep just had the power steering pump let go and the m1008 is still down (can't get the tie-rod and steering arm off). So unless I can get one or both by then... I'm probably out. I wont be sleeping until monday morning if I have to just to get the vehicles road ready again. I swear I have some of the worst luck on the planet.

You'll get it, just be patient. I know how you feel on the luck part. Hang in there

Hope so... That tie-rod is really in there though. Just like the tapered screw on the steering stabilizer was, I ended up cutted that to get a breaker bar on it, I cant stick my trusty breaker bar on these  No one seems to have the right tool. The pitman arm pullers I bought wont work both slip off the tie-rod and have already squashed the pointy bit. If I can devise a way to get it to stay on there then there may be hope unless I crack the pullers.

Do we want to do movie night again? I have projectors, laptop and sound equipment. Just need a big white sheet and a movie.
Rob, can you do VHS ?
I have several short Army Training Videos if anyone is interested. Could be like the "previews" portion before Maddawg's features films.
*Wrecker Operation and Controls of the Boom - 12 minutes
*Principles of Vehicle Electricity for Military Vehicles - 10 minutes
*Multlifuel Engine Injection - 30 minutes
*Wheeled Vehicle Bearing and Seal maintenance - 13 minutes
*Dump Truck Operations - 24 minutes
and a few others, . . . . .

I'll bring a sheet again, or maybe 4'x8' sheet of white hardboard wall panel. Makes a great dry erase board too.

If you have a VCR I have RCA cables to connect it up.

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate nicely for our rally, highs in the 80s lows in the 60s.

Rob, we gotta find some new trails to squeeze army trucks through!

Do I need to arm my self with a chain saw to save your mirror this time? Also should I bring some 1/2" conduit to build new mirror brackets?
