Some of us will be at the park when it opens at 5pm Friday, April 1st. People will filter-in at all different times that evening. Some get there close to 5pm and some will show-up in the middle of the night.
Not much happens at the park Friday night. People set up camp, visit with friends they haven't seen in a year and meet new friends. We get up early Saturday and convoy to the museum and return to the park Saturday afternoon. Some people work on vehicles. Others trail ride. It is open to whatever you want to do. You will get a lot of time at the museum and park to see the trucks and ask questions.
Each person/family cooks their own dinner Saturday night. In my opinion, this rally is missing a group meal that other rallies have. Maybe that will change in the future, but for now, bring what you want to cook and eat. We usually gather around the fire ring Saturday night to BS and swap stories. Sometimes there's a fire, sometimes there isn't. But there is always great company and a good time! Adult beverages are optional, but not required.
Mosquitoes have not been bad in the past couple of years. Some guys have really nice campers built in their MV shop vans or trailers. Some folks (me included) pitch a tent. Others sleep in their civy vehicles (SUVs and pick-up trucks).
I'll let Lincoln respond about the lifted electric cart.
If you get there Friday night, I'm sure folks with MVs will let you, your wife and son ride a long in the police escorted convoy to the Museum.
