Attention patriots and non-believers, the SoCal Spring Rally is set for the weekend of April 7th - 10th.
Here is the map to camp https://goo.gl/maps/4gL2iMToLmf1zsgR9

I'll be marking the campsite with cones so as to not disturb surrounding plant life.

Saltydeuce will be providing us with a few truck loads of firewood for the community fire pit so we have a warm gathering spot to share scary mother-in-law stories or pitch us your best speech on how you will become president.

There will be a convoy through the desert on Saturday around 11'ish which makes for a real good time and enjoy the view. When we get back from that I'll be grilling up some tacos for everyone there.

We are in search of a cheap rally car that can at least survive until Sunday. If you know of someone selling a cheap (under $500) reliable car or truck that runs good let us know. The last truck we had caught on fire, not sure how that happened, but I'm sure it's probably on it's way to China by now.

We want to promote being good ambassadors of the desert so we ask that you pick up any trash that you see as well as packing up what you bring out.

I know when we are out in the open desert it can be hard not to get on the gas and get the full experience of the wind blowing on your bald head, but please be courteous around camp and around others that want to enjoy it too and not get dusted out. There is a 5mph speed limit in camp.

Hope to see you guys out there.

Sounds like another great time! Unfortunately, two events for me, one being not recovered enough to drive. Have a beverage and sacrifice or blow something up for me!

Anyone recognize this truck. I parked next to him today at IMS. Didn't see anybody I recognized in the shop. Pretty sure I've crossed paths with this rig before, but drawing a blank. IMG_6741.jpeg

I can't say that I know of anyone that has a truck like that. Maybe put a note on the windshield directing him to the forum and see if he'll post on here.

That's why I'm working out a deal on buying a multi-fuel. It was going to Mexico, but I think it'll stay here with me for a while until this craziness blows over.

I'll try to make it in my m1083... But darn, nearly $300 in diesel with these Brandon prices! Anyone closer to San Diego county, I have a friend in the ocotillo desert with a square mile of badlands and trails. Might be able to setup something there in the future

We're all feeling the pinch with these fuel prices except the ones using the multi-fuel engines. Those guys will be all smiles the whole way there.
We're going to need an extra truck to load up at Saltydeuce's place in West Covina on April 3rd with firewood. If anyone would like to volunteer let me know. We want to have a really big camp fire 🔥
