Mark your calendars! The annual Texas MV Rally will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 to Sunday, March 23, 2025. We'll camp in the same location this year. That Saturday, we'll convoy to the Living History event at the Museum of the American G.I.

Everyone is welcome (with or without a MV).

Camping:

Our camp site is in a field off FM 974 in Bryan, Texas.

The location is 1.6 miles north of Texas 21 on FM 974. Look for the Steel Soldiers banner on the west side of FM 974. This location is near Aggieland Safari.

You can arrive any time after 14:00 on Friday, March 21.

We will dry camp in a field. Plan for and bring all of your meals and camping supplies, except for lunch on Saturday which you can buy at the museum. You will have access to a water hose and there will be porta potties at the campsite. There are no other amenities. Also, make sure to take all of your supplies and trash when you leave.

There is a flat fee of $30 per family. This fee applies whether you choose to stay one night or both nights. Please bring cash and pay Lincoln (@nofearnohope).

Convoy and Museum of the American G.I.:

We'll get up Saturday morning, March 22, for a convoy to the Museum of the American G.I. (Museum’s website: https://americangimuseum.org/). It is approximately 30 miles from our campsite to the museum and we typically have a police escort. At the museum, we’ll line our trucks up for display and enjoy the annual Living History event before convoying back to the campsite mid-afternoon.

Saturday afternoon at the campsite is a great time to hang-out with friends (new and old)! There's usually a bonfire Saturday night and a few tall tales. Everyone departs for home Sunday morning.

Buy / Sell / Trade:

I'll start a buy, sell or trade thread for the rally.

You may bring anything to the campsite that you want to sell or trade. Feel free to post in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread ahead of time. However, please note, that you must be a registered vendor to sell items at the museum. If that's something you want to do, contact the museum directly ahead of time to register. Otherwise, keep these activities at the campsite.

A little butthurt missing this weekend. Spent it outside Seguine raising funds for "Fallen Brothers" with my M/C. Fallen Brother is also an annual, so here is hoping it isn't an annual schedule conflict.

I would like to make it, will be my first. I live about 60 miles from the location. I have been working on my truck for a few years and have never driven it that far. I will see if I can make it. I mostly use my M35A2 as a ranch truck for welding, hauling hay, etc.
I hope you can join us!

Where do you live? I’m in Conroe and there are several of us within 60 miles of College Station.

OSR will get you real close. Then work your way to Tabor road and you will find us. No shoulder in case of trouble though.

How much further is I-45 to 21? Big shoulders for all but the last few miles.

Also, if you haven’t done long drives in the truck before. Just go the speed you and the truck feel happy with. 48 mph is the happy speed for my Gasser M35. When it is empty, flat roads and cool temperatures. Change that and 38-42 is all it can do and all I want to do.

My multi fuel with 11.00 tires will run 58-62. However, 52 seems to be the speed the engine seems happy at. 2300-2400 rpm is the speed I am good at running it all day long. Which I have done several times on long across the state drives.

I'm going to attempt to make it this year with my MTVR but no promises. I believe the year just kicked off for MV demand. If I do I'll be offering anyone some NOS rifle racks for basically fuel money. I'll let them go cheap if anyone can use them. Lord knows I don't have enough M16/M249/240B to fill them all. rofl
