Well... seeing I have two cucvs now I bit the bullet, & shelled out 150 clams for a set of jumper cables. Well the big brown truck just delivered them & OH-MY-GOD they're huge!!. They're 20 feet long & the ups box said they weighed 33 lbs. They look like new. I'm tickeled. Makes me want to rush out & jump someone. I bought them over the internet on ebay, & they sure didn't look this big & heavy on the computor screen. Heres a picture of em. I put a coke can in there just to referance the size. anybody close by need a jump?? John

Using the long cable is like wrestling a large, heavy snake, which is why mine is now semi-affectionately known as "The Anvilconda".

Handy when you need it though...

The cable is of the weight it need to be to start anything from a CUCV to a M1 tanks, good for 1000 Amperes. And useually the Army of any staate of this world makes no difference between these vehicles.
I owne one too, however I never measured the lenght. It simply works when needed. And with the available adapters it works for the old "pig nose" too.

Looks like a nice set and a decent price. They are extremely handy if you trawl the local GL yards since most everything there has dead batteries.

Fantastic price..if you were to build a set the cable is currently $4 a foot X 40 feet. The copper lugs and rubber water seals will set you back some and THAT is before you own a couple of the pliugs and they are not cheap.

Great shopping!

YEP... I'm happy with them. 150 bucks sure seemed like alot. I paid about $80 for my 25' #2 gauge jumpers... but they work every time. I can't stand those $12.99 elcheapo ones. I was impressed with the quality of these & I don't get impressed all that easy. :-D They came from DP EQUIPTMENT & I've seen him post several sets on there. Shipping from S.C. was $25, but I had em in a couple of days & when the ups guy handed them to me I knew why.... 33 LBS. ...KUDOS TO HIM. I left him great feedback as soon as I got em . They look almost new. John

I got lucky and only paid $25.00 for my NOS 25 foot slave cable, because the spot welds on the spring cover had come apart. I still need to fix it, but it works the way it is.

Mine came in a M1028 I bought, so it was either free or very expensive as I bought the truck due to it having the NATO Slave in it. I guess it was free because I sold the truck and made some $$ on the sale of the truck.

I have used it to jump start a few CUCV trucks and my M1009 when I was looking at it before I bought it. The truck was sitting in a field for like 6 years and batteries were totally dead. I had to put one fresh battery to start it, but it started. I think if the batteries are totally dead, you can not start it. At least that is what happened to my with my M1009.

Good job.

Yeah, got one also. I think I paid $125 from a buddy in our club about a year ago.

BUUTTT.... it's been used three times so far. I've got three CUCV's and it does come in handy. For sure.
