Had a beautiful day here in the wide open spaces, so I ran 'the smoker' on a 110% load for about 1.5 hours. The HZ guage is inop, so I am just using a cheepo that seems to work well.

The shock loads are from 0 to 33KW, thats all my load tester will pull. Yes I know the covers are not on my load tester, had to replace magnetic relays and 2 rectumfiers, but in the load testers defense, it is at least 40 years old or more.

In my "spare time" I'm working on a partially stuck D298 crate engine that must've sat too long prior to auction. I can get it to rotate but not 360 degrees yet. Have been soaking the cylinders in a mix of diesel & MM oil for several weeks now. Planning to pull the injectors today to relieve the hydro-lock effect. I may end up having to pull the head to clean up the rust ridge or whatever is causing the stop. Looking forward to the first light-off and making smoke! :)

*what* did you replace in the load tester?
Its a rectumfier, those dodads that only let electricity go 1 way, hahaha

Oh, that sound! Still miss it. I played the clips over and over!
My wife has questioned my sanity because I watch some of my videos over and over. She says 'you were there and made the video, why do you need to see it over and over'

It sounds like it has a tick in the top end, so I will adjust the valves when I get time to see if the tick goes away.
