F-4C, Serial No. 64-0699, credited with downing a MiG-17 on April 23, 1966, has returned to AMARG from Davis-Monthan and is now viewable on display row. Assigned to the 555th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 8th Tactical Fighter Wing at Udorn Royal Thai Air Base, “Mink 04” was flown by Capt R. E. Blake and 1Lt S. W. George when it produced the “Wolfpack’s” first kill with an AIM-7D.
F-15C, Serial No. 79-0022, credited with the downing of a MiG 23 during the Gulf War on Jan 26, 1991.
F-15C, Serial No. 79-0048, used an AIM-7M to down an enemy helicopter gunship on Feb 11, 1991.
F-14 Bureau No. 159437, near the Gulf of Sidra, downs a Libyan MiG 23 on Jan 4, 1989.
The other F-14 that engaged the Libyan MiG -23 Floggers that day was BuNo 159610 and resides at the National Air & Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles airport.
