Can I do 60-62 comfortably with 35's on a m1008?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

no 75mph with 315's. Maybe its just me but It scares me at 60mph with stock tires. How so? 35's would lower the rpms you were spinning at and these engines will spin along at their governor all day long really. They're not like a big heavy Cummins or CAT diesel that only goes to 1800rpm.
My 36's were actually about 34" and change tall but I drove that truck 3 hours doing 65-70mph with them. About deafened me and used a lot of oil (mains) but did it just fine.
Okay, you're loosing me...just afraid to go that fast on tires 35" tall or afraid of the rpm? As I said, the rpm wouldn't be any worse than driving the stock truck on stock tires at 60mph or so.no 75mph with 315's. Maybe its just me but It scares me at 60mph with stock tires.
