Took some time to find some threads about it.

DaveP's sleeper cab with tanker trailer

Another one about Dave's truck

This is an adapted M820 with an old Peterbuilt sleeper, done by member DaveP. Tried to find any more information about it, but these are threads from around and well before 2010.

I was seriously thinking to do something like that here also, but a) I had an M51A2; too short for a sleeper, and b) the European rules on changes to trucks are so strong that it is close to impossible.

Rules here are basically NO to everything, and if Yes, you have to go for a special checking and bring a lot of documentation with you that this is really safe, build according to all rules etc etc.

I was lucky in 2012 with my dump to tractor conversion, both are existing trucks and I did not made serious changes to the frame. Now its even more problematic because the rebuild would be seen as a "new" vehicle and has to follow the rules for new vehicles, like double brake system, emission rules etc. .
WOW!!! That think looks AWESOME!!!

Photo dump !! It took a while to get that ?!$#* door mounted and sure it’s square in all 3 dimensions. But, after redoing it 2 times it’s on there for good. Also added a jump seat behind the pass seat. Sometimes we have 30 ppl in that truck so extra kid seating is a must!!! The A B C D & E pillars are solid. The next step is getting the seats all bolted in while the drivers side is still open. I started a YouTube channel and I will try to get a link on here.

Hey guys. It’s been a while but I finally got the doors set and welded in. I am very happy with the results. I will get the drivers jump seat in next? then skin and caps to basically make a roadster. After that we will get after the top.
Looking good. Still waiting on hinges to mount the doors but hopefully this week.
What are your plans for the cab weather strips? I wondered if paying for NOS ones is worth it or just create something from scratch.

I’ll probably make some from channel or angle and add the rubber. I’ll start that in a week or two something tells me skinning the sides is going to be tricky!!
