5-ton engine compatability question

I am told that the NHC 250 engine in an M93X series 5-ton is smaller than that found in an M818. Any truth there? My M818 engine is screwed and I may have located a takeout from an M939.

the early M939 series has the same engine with minor differences with the Fan but it should work just fine !!

The M939A2's have the smaller tuboed eng. The M939's and M939A1's have the 250.

A2's have the 8.3L 6CTA Cummins.

I have a 250 Cummins in my 813 that is for sale. It won't come with any accessories, just the long block. It runs great but I'm doing a re-power with a 400. PM me if interested.
