Agreed clinto, and it might very well be civvie, i dunno, the bed looks like it MIGHT be mil but not, i dunno. its is kinda neat regardless.

Well,after looking at the pictures,I concluded this may be a XM62E1, E2,or E3.

They used the same boom/bed combination as a WW2 M1A1 wrecker.I hope scoot is close enough to go take a few up close shots of it.

amg, you beat me to it, i was just looking at Crismons book "us military wheeled vehicles" page 358, where he talks about xm62E1, E2, E3s. then go to page366 for pictures of the single cable boom
