Not to put down the 6.2 because it is a very reliable engine. But in my opinion, you can't beat a Cummins. Even with the 4bt, I'm sure you could get way more power out of it than the 6.2 ever dreamed of...and cheaper to get that power too.

Well that and it comes with a factory turbo. And it was the standard beater motor for Chevy step side vans for years, so parts should be all over. But when it comes to availability immediately...I can find a decent 6.2 just about anywhere.

A local yard had about a dozen turbo'd 4bt's last summer, $1200 and I belive that included the 4spd tranny
