Greetings, all. Does anyone know the thread size of the fuel inlet fitting on the back of the injector pump? I need to replace some rubber lines soon and the line between the fuel filter and the IP looks to be a bit of a bear to get to. I'm leaning towards braided hose and A-N fittings. I don't like to do things twice and that stuff will probably outlive me at this point.

Did you ever find the fitting size? I have a brand new injector pump that I just I stalled and that small inlet pipe is the last thing I need to connect the fuel hose from the filter. If anyone knows the size or where to find one of these, please help. Thank you in advance.

JJ, like you I have considered the stainless line with the proper fittings which now come in black. I have to replace the lines anyway and install a spin on filter. The PO installed a Ford car inline fuel filter:cry: that I want to get out of there. My only reason for the stainless is I like the look.

Not sure where your truck came from, or maybe that was just a guess?
Anyways, its a personal pet peeve of mine when people post up incorrect information that they offer as fact with no checking.
(maybe your truck has been drilled out for a NPT fitting, if so i apologize)

But...
This isnt a NPT fitting that i just pulled from my 1028.

I dont have my thread gauge here but it is a flare fitting. I need to find a replacement and i'll post up with the exact thread when i check it in a day or so.

and yes i realize this thread is a few months old but it has been googled almost a thousand times, thats how i found it when i was looking for "6.2 pump inlet fitting" so i figured id post the correct information.

The actual thread of the pump inlet fitting measures 7/16 x 24tpi
It is the same fitting on a standard 1/4" hard brake line sold at most auto parts stores. Napa part# BL-460 for example. (Brake Line, 1/4" dia, 60" long).

I'll need to find that in stainless with a NPT or -AN on the other side for my SVO conversion, but at least now i know what to look for.
And so do you.

You're welcome. :)
I accept cash, checks or beer as thanks.
