6.2 starts easily then dies...?

I have a 6.2 that starts in 3 seconds no problem, then after 5-10 seconds dies. Then it takes 5-10 more seconds to restart then runs fine all day. The fuel filter is new as are the glow plugs. I noticed when replacing the last glow plug the #8 passenger side back under the fuel filter the plug wire and area was wet with diesel fuel. The filter seal is good and tight. I was thinking a hose..? But cant find the suspect. I would like to replace the current fuel filter with a spin on. Does anyone have such a beast for sale, or know where to get one and is the process an easy mod..?

Mine was leaking at filter base.

Sounds like the O-ring on the back of the filter base is bad.

Spin on time. I will see if i can find my buddies thread. He found everything on ebay for less than $100 and i instaled it.
