6/8/13 - Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

Hope everyone has recovered from Aberdeen. It was really nice to see so many of the breakfast group there. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next breakfast. Anyone interested in getting together with other MV enthusiasts, meet us at 10 am Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the parking lot behind the Bob Evans Restaurant located on Liberty Rd (Rt 26) just West of Sykesville Rd (Rt 32) - 1211 Liberty Road Eldersburg, MD 21784.

If you think you are going to be able to join us, please let me know ahead of time, so I can arrange for enough seats at the restaurant.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to come up much anymore for the foreseeable future. Part of the reason I made the trek most of the time was my brother lived in Frederick, MD and I'd come up for the weekend to visit him, and then going to the breakfast was another 40 minutes up the road, no biggie. Now that my brother has moved to New Jersey, going to the breakfast is a 2-hour drive each way, and about $50 in gas.

In the meantime, until I can afford to make the ride up, will be putting spare money away for buying my next MV! Then I'll have a reason to come up there, too!

I have a suggestion. We need to move this event around the state. I am not suggesting this for me as I may or may not come. However, I have heard from several past attendees that they have stopped coming because the location is so far away. I think we should rotate it from Eldersburg to Frederick to Mount Airey to elsewhere in the state. I have only been there once, but it was very well attended and I enjoyed it very much. Before anyone thinks I am steering it closer to my house, Eldersburg is about as close as it gets (except maybe Mount Airey)...I live in Damascus.

Most people do, yes. I don't have a MV anymore but I might start towing one of my generators to breakfast once in a while.

Should (HOPEFULLY) have mine tagged and on the road by then - missed the "historic" registration by 2 years.... (grrr) -
waiting on an insurance quote from State Farm (my former BN Co is the agent...) or may go thru JC Taylor - they gave a reasonable quote.
