6cta water pump differences

Is there a difference between the military water pump and the cummins oem pump. The military one has side edges on the pulley and the oem one has a flat pulley no edges. Are they interchangeable?

So no one has replaced a water pump in their a2 with an off the shelf one?

I just did mine on Saturday when it broke down in Michigan. That's the same one I used on mine. I put 300 mile on it without problems.

I would say they are the same the miltary one look like they put guides on so it was easy to center the belt on the pulley and help it from not jumping off if the belt tensioner start to become weak. The only thing you can check is the diameter of the pulleys and make sure they are the same
