I have forgotten all the things this account out bid me on but the worst was an M 818 I really thought I was going to win. I did get my M 127 from a lot that he or she got all the rest of them in. I even contacted GL asking them to talk to the account about reselling some of the items they won and have never heard from them.

I agree that it is probably some large surplus truck dealer, or an exporter possibly. I seriously doubt it is a shill bidder representing GL for the sole purpose of bidding up the lots. Not only is it highly illegal, but no doubt a lot of folks are keeping an eye on 8500, which would make any illegal attempt at bidding up the lots as an inside job VERY dangerous. It's probably nothing, just another bidder who has more money than us and wants to outbid competitors....

I get to go by the Memphis branch of Memphis Equipment on a very regular basis. I've not seen any of this stuff there. Also, Memphis does not normally pursue trailers, and I think 8500 does. I've never been to Clark, so can't say anything there. As for 8500 being a shill - I look at every truck on GL - and occassionally I see a truck come through a second time. But with defaults, EUC issues, etc., I'm not surprised at that - what I am surprised about is how few of the re-offerings there are.

My .02,
David Doyle
