900r16 Michelin LAV Military tires

a friend of mine got 8 of these new for 1k. mounted them up. didnt get them on the truck yet, have a bunch of little cracks already. think this will be ok? thanks again

Cracks where? Where'd he get them from? Tiny cracks probably mean they're very old and have ozone damage. Depends on where the cracking is at as to them being ok.

LAV's ran the 38" 11.00R16's. The 9.00R16's are from other country's militaries. They are likely rather old.

not sure where he got them from. got them off the net. might have the size wrong. cracks on the tread. smaller one on the sidewall

tire sizes

LAV used Michelin 11.00x16 XL or XZL on 6.5" rim then later they used Michelin 325/85R16 XML on 9.5" rim. Both 38.7" dia. 9.00x16 are 36.3" and should fit with almost no lift or trimming if springs are in good shape. Same size as the STA LT28M tires the military often bought for the CUCV (cheaper, mostly road M+S tires)
