Anyone know offhand what size socket I need to pull the bearings on a 923 front axle inner seal change? I'm thinking I saw 3" somewhere but I can't be certain. Thanks.

It should list the size in the special tools list in the TM . 3 inch fits 2 1/2 tons don't know about 939 series.

I looked through the Appendixes with no luck. I need a class on how to find special stuff like that in the TM's evidently.

Ussually I think its in the parts section of the tm , At the end of what your looking at doing there is a list of tools required.
Axle Nut Sockets from this ;
5 Tons require both 4-3/8" & 4-7/8"

2 sockets, 4 3/8" and 4 7/8". Eight sides, OTC 1917 and 1919.

I found it in one of the TM's for the 939's when I was helping a friend with his seal. Can't remember where.
