This one will be mainly for brush fires but with 1500 gal will have the ability to assist with water supply. Got a lot done today but got dark before I could get pics I'll post more tomorrow.

now let's do the math. 3 pods @600lbs ea (empty)=1800lbs.
1500 gallons of water @7.5lbs per gallon= 13500 lbs.
pump unit (guess) 225 lbs
total load on truck 13275 lbs
13275 divided by 2000 lbs (1 ton) =6.6275 tons on a 5 ton truck.
i had one of these trucks as a supply NCO, and i LOVED it, but i think you are overdoing it a lil bit

5 ton trucks generally are legal 10 ton payloads on highway, and I am going to guess if need be it could handle nearly 8 tons off road. At least it probably will for a little while any way ;)

Its heavy we did leave off most of the extra equipment we normally carry to try and save some weight. Drgreg the sides are already gone.
