A 3rd Deuce Overdrive Tranny?

Okay...so I came across this a while back and have been saving it for the opportune time. I figure we're all deuce derivative opportunists anyway...the time is now! HA!


Yeah, anyway...check the 3053B transmission ratios. Another 10% overdrive but a loss of deep granny. That would change 55mph with 39" NDT's from 2,707rpm to 2,388rpm at 55 and puts 62-63mph at 2,700rpm. I could swear I've seen one of these at a surplus but haven't been able to track it down.

There's no room behind the stock tranny for a ranger or brownie, unless you move the transfer case way back.

I just picked up a .65 OD spicer. I should have it in in a couple of weeks, assuming the coffee store doesn't run out of fresh beans. I'll let you guys know how it does.
