Thanks josh for the offer! will keep that in mind

i havent drove the truck yet as it needed batteries and the guy was at work and said i could go take a peek. its not offically mine as i only put a down payment on it till after the holidays in case something happens...and after that mmm...plus it gives me time to work on the little things to get done to it...maybe redo the troop seats and little things...and then i can finally move my trailer and start work on that :)

with the pole thing i was also thinking maybe like a ammo truck and they had the poles on the side to make a bench or something?

Hey Scott, let me know if you need help. I'm only 60 miles away. You get the parts and I can help you get them on:)
As far as parts, I highly recommend Erik's Military Surplus. He's one of the cheapest and ships the next day. Here's a link for your front lenses
Front Composite Lens, 11639546
He also has the wheel brake cylinder rebuild kits. I'd get all 6 if I were you. You don't want to wait for them to start leaking before replacing them.

No rust through on this truck, surface only. these pipes were installed for some obscure purpose
Ok, but nobody said anything about rust through.

My truck has no rust through anywhere on it, but the under frame for the bed, in the area of the wheel wells, is rusted enough to need some rework. Clearly the result of road salt.

Perhaps if srodocker could shoot some pictures of the pipes from the underside?

The tubes are not original or official. some unit mod from what I can see, and they didn't have a qualified welder do the job. If it was a job authorized on brigade level, the welds would have not have been noticed. We pay people to do this right. Ask around the donor unit to see if anyone knows this lovely green beast. Congrats, I wish I could get one up here in Canada!
