Today was just great. I got out both deuces today for the first time for a kind of extended trip of about 75 miles round trip.
The first, driven by my son is dependable as a Swiss watch.
The second, on the other hand, seems to have starter issues. Kind of intermittent when warm. Not sure the cause.
This was the first time either has had extended time on the new spin on secondary fuel filters. Worked perfectly on both. Good news.
This was also the first time the second deuce has been on the road with a working tach. Thanks to cranetruck, who supplied the replacement drive, I could tell what the rpm's were. I cannot tell you the comfort level a tach will provide, unless you have been without one!
About three and a half hours running time on each, a parade and back home without a hitch.
I even drove the second steadily at 50 to 53 mph on the Interstate.
I keep working on making the trucks dependable and durable. It seems to be having an effect.
Happy trails.
