I had a chance to abuse the tractor again today. Took a few pics. If the wrecker didn't have the towing lights, the M103A3 would have been added to the mix!

Nice latch on the back door of the trailer, I think that must be a field mod...

That's the first up close pic of a towbar with the adpaters I've seen. I have a friend, I'll bet he can make those.....

Man, Kenny, as I remember it, there are few places to turn around in your
neighborhood. Maybe a field of sand that's all. Of course, you do have a police escort, right. :)

Clinto: I'm sure those adapters are forged, not that easy to make right.

CT-

You are right, Kenny's neighborhood is not made for easy turn arounds. When I was down there and got to drive the tractor, I went down a street that ended in a canal, with no turn around!! First time driving a deuce, and I had to do a 27 point turn to get that sucker pointed the right direction... The short wheelbase and being able to see all 8 back tires from the driver's seat makes it a lot easier, though.

Al y'all are right about turning around here. Luckily I know my way around. I took the MV train around the big block. Just a bunch of left hand turns. Knew better than to make rights. The hardest part was getting the whole thing in and out of the driveway. Used the wider 27' drive but it was still close to the ditch in both directions. Again I've underestimated the tractor. Judging by the fact that in 5th gear high range it was able to gain speed, I think I could get this up to highway speed. The trailer is abult 17,500#, the wrecker is 20,000# and there are 2 MEP-016 gensets inside at 250# each and 3 MEP-018 gensets on the nose at 850# each. Bet my last dollar I was over 40,000#. Love that little "tractor that can"!

One more pic! Clinto, the field mod on the trailer door was courtesy of myself. Seems that the boarding ladders need to be removed before backing up. I wasn't aware of that and backed up anyway and destroyed a boarding ladder and that one back door. Luckily got a replacement door but no luck on latches yet.

I think your tractor may be getting pinkeye..........or yellow eye?

I only have to of the amber headlights and can't afford to trash both at once. Finding the yellow lights is like finding hens teeth. Thanks Leonard.

When you're towing that road train, you're providing 3 sets of lights, correct? Do you have any problems with your CB tripping like CT has mentioned?

Folks,

That's Kenny showing off his Austrailain road train again :D . Kenny, did you ever fix the exhaust yet? I think I could hear you firing up the tractor from over here ;) . BTW, I'm trying to scrape up some time to get your lights back to you. I haven't forgotten............ yet.
