AC install in M936, Completed

I have completed the AC install in my M936. I used a Hummwv kit but I did not use the Hummwv Condenser, I used a condenser built for the M939's.
The big problem was I could not figure out how to get the motor fan to work with the AC system when it needs it and also have it used by the truck when it needs it.
I figured that out and I also added a manual switch so I can turn on the motor fan anytime. Also added a AC clutch fan switch so I can use the Evaporator fan and not have the AC running.
Removed the batteries and put them in a relocation kit I have had. Painted the area and the air tanks due to having them off and they needed a little paint.

Have not done a lot of testing, but it keeps the cab at about 85 when it is 105 degrees out. I need to fix some holes in the firewall, a lot of hot air comes in from under the dash. Also the heater fresh air vent lets in some hot air.
When your driving the AC does not need the fan much.

Hopefully the group buy for the M939A2 compressor mounting kit goes through. Still need a few more people to make the minimum purchase.

I installed A/C on my m925a1 and without sealing the cab up you could hardly feel the a/c. I took out the floor mat and used 2 layers of hushmat on the floor and parts of the firewall and also the back part with a nice quality carpet on it. I also used an insulation (hotwater heater insulation) on the engine side of the firewall and under the cab. Both of those made a huge difference and made it alot quieter and cooler. On a 100 degree day it stays about 70-75 inside. I just wish I had a hardtop because the soft top is pretty drafty around the edges.

When you say the condenser was built for the M939 do you mean custom built or was it a OEM part? Whats up with the group buy M939A2 I tried a search but maybe didnt use the right wording.

No it was not custom built, It is a Red Dot condenser that was built for the M939's.
I got it from Suprman here on Steel Soldiers.
I did not use the one that came with the Hummwv kit.

You need a compressor mount that is built for the 8.3 in the A2's. The kit cost a lot so they are trying to get up a group buy to lower the cost.

Yes it is up and running. I did the charge myself.
