Add-A-Leaf for sagging front

The more I read it seems that you dont need a lift kit to fit 34" skinny tires or even 35". I was going to lift 4" but if I dont have to then why spend the money right now. I am now looking at a leveling kit to raise the front and fit LTB 34/10.50/16. I just dont want to order some and get the wrong size. I understand that 3" wide is standard and there is a lot of kits that might work. I plan on putting a winch on it at some point. I did some research on SS and found some replacement springs but they at auto annything but they say for a blazer. I would like to know the exact p# so I don't have to return them. I would be happy with either add a leaf (http://www.jcwhitney.com/add-a-leaf-kits/p2005974.jcwx?filterid=d50264y1983g82j1) ?? or replacement. Thanks :beer:

If you're going to put a winch on the front end then an add a leaf would be acceptable. But if not, it'll ride rough.

Personally I'd just go with a 4" lift instead.

Im in the same boat. My 1031 is pretty droopy in the front. I cant quite decide between an add-a-leaf, zero rate or a whole new spring pack. Im running 37s with a 1" body lift and I dont have any issues with normal street driving but I would like the truck to be a little more level and have a little more clearance in the front wells. Id like to do a winch too....

New springs will improve ride quality 10 fold. I'd go with new positive arched springs.

You will not fit "Skinny" 34 or 35 inch tires without butchering the body,Just get the 4" inch lift and you will be happier.
I was trying to go cheap but that usually bits me, I like the way your truck looks so I think I will bite the bullet and go with the 4" I will let you know how it goes in the next few weeks.

I tried too go cheap and just had my springs Re-Arched on both my 1028 and my 1009, I now have new springs on my 28 and will do new springs on my 1009 this summer when my shop is done. Many folks on here told me not to do what I did and just bite the bullet and buy new..... But did I listen...Nope. Spend your time and money right the first time.

Good advice! A shackle flip would probably be the best place to start

If you want a street truck that sees little actual off road use, go ahead and do a 4" lift. If you want an offroad set up that will still work on the street, minimize lift and trim the fenders. They can be trimmed to look nice, but some will consider any trimming butchery for some reason. With 2-3" of lift and minor trimming you should be able to easily fit 35" tires, and with major trimming 37" tires. If still feel you need more lift, you can always add on a 1" body lift.
A 2 1/2" shackle flip with 2" lift springs will ride a lot nicer than 4" lift springs.
