Adjusting Valves on M35A2C

I'm planning on adjusting the exhaust and intake valves on my deuce and a half. I've got an M35A2C with the LDS 465 engine. Whats the best way to rotate the crankshaft? To get at the pulley & nut on the front, it looks like I'll have to pull out the radiator. Is there an easier way?

As Jason said, with a really long prybar on the jackshaft that goes in between the tranny and transfer. Make DEAD sure the engine stop cable is pulled out. I put the trans in 5th gear and had a spotter watching the valve gear.

Use an 18 in crescent on the back side of the compressor pulley and push down on the compressor belt at the same time you turn it, if you are by yourself..or, if you have a helper, ditto what clinto said.

I did same as Will. Did mine hot (over 170). I had to run it a bit between heads as it cooled down. Best done on cool day. I retorqued my heads before (The gaskets replaced a year eariler).A special wrench needed for a few of the nuts. JimK
