I bought the gpr 109 from napa per a thread here. Is that a ford? Not good?

I also bought 8g wire and a mega fust 80 amp per another thread. Wire from front battery to the gpr. Yes or no?

Yes on the wire. 8 gauge is okay. It's on the light end, but it will do. I'd rather see 6, and I actually went with 4, but I think you're okay.

You need a bit more on the fuse. Antennaclimber measured it at 100 amps draw, and you need some headroom, so I think you want 120 on the fuse. That whole thread is worth reading through.

gpr 109 is good, but I would confirm with a meter before installing anything. Just be sure there is no continuity between the mount and any of the 4 posts.

I ran 8ga wire for years, no issues.

No fuse.

Nice to have you "back2. NO need to be 'tired'..Relax a while and work steadilly through your tasks, Things usually work out better that way.

Thanks. life is been tough this past week and I don't know how to stop working. 26230509_408832949553295_8454725436193087126_n.jpg26231028_408832879553302_5070422183162583144_n.jpg26231569_408832969553293_3768258160764396072_n.jpg26239428_408832902886633_6007363176878648929_n.jpg26805400_408832996219957_6896155062034359876_n.jpg26805447_408832922886631_1414079058712542358_n.jpg I have a few questions. 1. the power from the front battery, added a fuse 80 amp but ordered 120a then it wrapped around to the GPR. IS that correct? Im leaving the stock system just in case.,
question 2. the GPR. what wire goes to what? the small post is marked I and S I believe. Not sure what wire goes to what?
3ed q. I found this blue wire (I'm holding it) Looks unused and as far as I can trace it and looks like it goes to nothing.

The blue wire is not used.

Test/confirm your relay before connecting it(as described above).

Position of the small wires does not matter.

the small wire you are holding looks like it goes to oil pressure sending unit which is down between engine and fire wall. wire plugs into the top of it. looks like your connector might be broken.

looks like the relay you have will work. from what I could find on internet it looks like it is an isolated ground relay.

My expensive meter is not working. Last time I used it a rain storm hit us while I was working on the truck. I think its toast. It was like 100.00 unit. Just my luck.

Nope...

It's used for the M1010 only.

Covered 100's of times.

And, if you understood what the S and I indicate, it should NOT be an isolated ground relay.

But, infact it seems some manufactures used the same plastic/phenolic case cover in both types of relay. Unfortunaletly that leads one to beleive it is either wrong, or labeled wrong.

The only way to know for sure is to use an ohm meter.

Please don't try to help, with guesses.

mine is fixed. Took it apart and made sure it was dry. must have been some moisture in it. The part is good and the base is isolated from the post. Waiting for the new card now. I guess I could try the old one first. It gets dark so fast and too cold to work on at night. I did get XM stereo installed.

Put it all back together wait to start light not on. or the water light. No clicking from the glow plug relay .guess the card is bad? one is on the way. How do I get the old one out? just pull like ****? it feels like its stuck if I just pull.

The card has a small hole in it. You can use a 90 degree pick tool to pull it out.

Or you can just grab it with pliers if you think it's bad.

Or you might be able to wiggle it side to side with your fingers, and pull it out.

Turns out the card is fine. I checked all but 1 fuse . was sidetracked by the melted fuse. It fired right up yeaaaa for me. I guess having a spare card is a good thing.
