Padding? Who needs padding?No padding?
All of us who are out of our teens/20s ? When I drove my truck from Tennessee to Kansas (a 14-hour drive) it got to where I was shifting position every 5-10 minutes. I remember falling asleep in the back of a deuce on top of a pile of duffle bags and sleeping like a baby in my 20s--but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work any more...Padding? Who needs padding?
This is the source of mine - http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=12024036 They need a little work to get them installed, but they are very, very comfortable. Much better than the lawn chair quality seats that were in there. I wasn't sure about tan with the green, but I am happy with how they worked out. Those look great! I'm set for seats in my truck but, any details on them like original application or NSN so I can recommend them to others who might want a seat upgrade?
I looked back in the thread but didn't see them referenced.
The seats don't come padded. A 3" thick 16"x16" gel wheelchair cushion fits very nicely though and is pretty comfy. I'll have to make the back cushions for them and hope that I can get to it this weekend. No padding?
Scroll up and you will see pics of my install of the exact same seats except in tan. For the driver seat, I removed the spring seat and welded a piece to bolt the seat directly to the existing base. The other seats were just too tall and you don't need to adjust them so I removed the tracks, cut the sides flush with the bolt holes and attached them directly. The flip up seats make this very easy. I can get you more pics if you need. The drivers seat is a touch taller than I would like. I may go back and rework it, but for now it works fine.I bought 4 seats similar to this and am having a hard time installing.

I had a standard springer seat in the driver and removed it. . And the the new high back isn't even close. I had read on another thread this needs to be entirely removed and a "riser" is required. Is there an adapter base available? The other 3 (front passenger and rears) I assume mount to the flat seats pans but when I dry fit them they seem like the ride height will be much higher than what would be ideal. Any advice/links would be appreciated.
Thanks!
By an chance do you have a link to the guy selling the Chrysler seats?
