Aftermarket fuel injectors

Has anyone ever used any aftermarket fuel injectors in their 802 or 803 and how were they?

I keep seeing “Friday Parts” injectors come up for like $40 each. Or I can get genuine Onan injectors for $80 or so.

I took my current injectors out of my generator and had them flow tested at a local place. They said it was awful and quoted me $375-400 to rebuild. Well that ain’t happening.

They had to misquote, I have had mine rebuilt for $58 a piece.

If you can buy new OEM for $80, why would you ever consider paying more than that for a rebuild job?

I have used probably 8 or 10 of the "Aftermarket" Chinese injectors that you can fine for around $45.
They worked ok, but I found that the pop pressure was a bit inconsistent from 1 to the next, usually on the low side.
If you only need a couple I would probably opt for the Lister Petter injectors available for about $90 but if you need 4 of them that can become pricey.

Nope. Called them back today. $390. Something about my injectors are Delphi and they discontinued them so parts are expensive.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I’m having that internal battle about dropping the money on brand name injectors when this is just a backup to the house when we lose power. Yet I hate cheaping out on stuff because it often results in more headache.

You can get 4 brand new OEM injectors for about the price of them rebuilding one. But it's ONLY a backup to the house when you lose power. So let me ask you this: How are you going to feel about the few dollars you saved if those Chinese injectors quit working when you're using it and your house then goes dark until utility comes back? IDK how long your outages usually last, but when I lived in S. Florida, I remember them averaging about 2 weeks after a hurricane. Remember, it's only a backup. So when you need it, you NEED it to work properly and efficiently. How valuable is that machine to you as a door stop? I'm happy to purchase it from you for scrap value if that's the case

I've learned the hard way my fair share of times to know when cutting corners to save a dollar isn't worth it.
