Air line diagram or which TM needed?

I happened to be up under this new deuce I picked up working on something totally different, and being my first truck I found this cut air line, but I’m not sure what is missing or where it should go.. I have attached two pictures…

Picture one shows the air tanks and which air line I’m referring to.

Picture two shows that line has been cut right beside the IP throttle linkage.


Could someone point me in the right direction?

I think I found it. It was hard to trace and I think the previous owner ran a new line to the compressor. All is good there now.

But here’s a new find attached below. A small line disconnected near the master cylinder. Hmmm

So three things:

1) Do the brakes on your truck work? If the air assist system is working right, it shouldn't require too much force to work the brakes.

2) What year is your truck? Does it have single-circuit brakes?

3) I don't know of an air diagram specifically for the single-circuit brake systems. There is a manual that has a diagram showing how the dual-circuit brake systems are piped, but it's a little bit different since the air packs are doubled up.

1. Previous owner said brakes are currently not working due to a bad wheel cylinder, he had one sitting in the cab when I purchased the truck. **Truck had been sitting for awhile and was not running, so I personally have not tested them, I plan on some extra repairs and I knew this going into it**

2. 1969. Yes, single circuit brake system.

3. No biggie, only curious. I have traced that unhooked line and it seems to be part of a vent pipe system.

Here's a pictures of the air and hydraulic lines of a split-circuit brake system fitted to some M35A2 trucks. I'm guessing the lines are similarly laid out on single-circuit brake trucks until one gets into the split-circuit components.
