Exactly. I was looking to buy the last unit from them. I was glad I missed it by a day after I read about the gent. that bought one and had so may problems and the cut fenders. I'm not so sure about them being worth it because otherwise they would be cheaper part, but they are good looking trucks. With that said, he is selling the trucks, so they are worth it to some people. The red and white dually is really more correct with the exception of the paint, so it's worth more than the other IMHO, but I'd still have trouble giving $12K for it, especially since I considered buying it myself when it was auctioned and I sold the truck in my avatar for $9K.maddawg308 said:I've heard good news and bad news about Alfa's military vehicle stock. Think of it this way: See that $15,000 dually M1028 with 8,XXX miles on the meter? That's practically a new dually diesel truck! Priced a NEW 2007 Chevy 1-ton Silverado dually diesel on the dealer's lot? What is it? $40,000. Makes Alfa's prices seem a LOT more reasonable.
I chatted with Tom about the glow plug saver system a while back when I was reviewing one of his 1009s to potentially purchase. The fundamental is that it has the updated control module to do just what you've referred to. Tom mentioned that previous vehicles that he sold (days gone by) didn't have the new system and a few folk were burning out plugs. The system ensures the plugs don't get overburned.steelsoldiers said:I wondered that myself.
