alt 2 question

I looked on the tm for the charging wiring and notice off of the second generator that thwe negative lead has some sort of ground with a "suppessor"? Mine only has a big red wire going to it......is that strange or does everyone elses only have one wire on the negative post of the second alt?

You do not need the suppressor.

It is used for Military radios. No radio then no suppressor needed.

Ok kewl thought so.....that red wire should have what for volts?

Just about every item under the hood had a suppressor on it. Heater fan, wiper motor ,etc.

The red wire off GEN 2 should have at least 24 volts (when running around 28.8 is better) The red wire with the white tracer should have at least 12 volts (again, 14.4 when running is better)
