anyone ever used one of these alternators? Wondering how it is wired. the price is right for a 24v 150amp alternator (equivalent output of a 12v 300amp alternator)

I don't know about that one but my local alternator shop said he could get me a one wire 24V alt. for 60-$70.00.
yeah one wire delco units int he 50-60 amp range are about 70$

this is 150amp unit - 3 times the output for only twice the cost.

a bit more google foo turned up that the R terminal labeled as neutral may be an AC current tapped off of one phase of the alternator.

the other terminal is supposed to be a "Lamp terminal (path to ground when alternator is not operating)"

it is a self exciting alternator, just not a grounded case alternator. so essentially it is just a two wire alternator and I would only need to connect the pos and neg terminals.

good news for me because I picked up one of these alternators and a battery voltage equalizer for a total of 285$ . a little custom bracket work and I'll have 3 times the stock power and a reliable 12volt output as well. I'll have to update this thread with pictures as i go.
