hey triple jim. do i need a capacitor installed with your DCVR? i always use the panel lights to discharge the VR when i unhook the bat.

Well, you might hear funny noises on your radio or TV without it. Maybe Triple Jim will chime in. He may, or may not have included one in the Regulator.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, look in the big auction site for the Cap, under the NSN or part number. You will have heart failure. This is a stink normal Cap. This should NOT cost but maybe a few bucks.

My regulator has a 22,000 uF 50v capacitor built in, to allow you to run without the main 24v battery if needed. I don't think using an external capacitor will be of any benefit.
