I’ve been searching for days to find info on this one. Seller doesn’t know much about it, no model #, and it’s a bit far from me to go see it with no idea what it is.

Anybody have any ideas? Could make a cool camping trailer but looks very heavy!

Looks like a SECM body from a CUCV contact maintenance truck mounted on an m116a2 or m116a3 trailer chassis.
That makes sense now. Very interesting, might be able to use it, that means it has a lot of storage for sure…….. The ladder is strange though isn’t it? Wouldn’t that be the back of the cab?

really appreciate the info, I think your on the right track. Thanks.

Agree with the above, M1031 box. The ladder is part of the modifications for trailer mounting, not original to the box. Same for the spare tire.
Here is a picture of the what the front originally looked like. This box is the same, but has the wheel wells for a dually truck (there were very few of those).

Really cool trailer!

Cheers

Wow! You guys are good!

Thank you for the detective work. I'm going to look at it today, I'll take pics for sure. Not sure if I'll get it, really depends on how good the modification to the trailer was done.

Wonder if these things are heavy, looks like it.

Looks like the oe rims have been replaced. I would look to see if these are trailer tires at least d preferably e to handle weight and not just regular passenger tires.
Oe is 2358516 10 ply typically.
If not price your bid accordingly.

Here are a few more pics. Got a lot of work ahead of me, need to put crossbars across the top so we can put our roof top tent up there. Pressure wash, sand, repaint. Extend the chains (first thing to do).

Then in time I’ll line the inside with insulated board, flooring, lights, windows in the back, etc to make the inside a camper. Full offshore hookup electrical wiring, battery and solar setup, and more.
