One reason not to salvage is becouse " IF" it gets in a really bad accident then its worth more. And right now the other insurance is willing to fix, just got to find the right shop.

The military liked their vehicles with dents. If it wasn't dented, they put at least 1 in right away! The dent makes it more original.

Well... I appreciate all of the advice. I am still working with the insurance adjuster. I obtained three more estimates, all of them over 1K. I scanned these estimates and sent them to the adjuster today. I hope to hear back from him by Wednesday next week. I will keep you posted.

Honestly, I had a problem seeing the dent on the vehicle. The part how the insurance company wanted to total the vehicle over that is hilarious. There's been great points in this thread to deal with their drama.
