Does anyone know,I just topped off antifreeze ran the truck for 20-30 miles and noticed that the tube on the side of radiator was dripping and then stopped. Is it possible to over fill because i filled it to where you can see it by the cap.So when you open the cap you can see antifreeze.the temp of truck is about 190 on the gauge.now you cant see the antifreeze because what i added leaked out. any ideas?

What kind of truck?

Please try to post in the appropriate forum and list specifics.

Many trucks "seek their own level".

As long as it's at the bottom of the neck, above the cores it is probably fine.

You need room for expansion.

revised m35a2 anti freeze leak

1977 m35a2 mutifuel non turbo leaks antifreeze from the cap tube still not sure if its over full, motor temp is 190 at the gauge. I think its in need of a over flow bottle.because it does not have one.Its only leak after motor is warmed up. This is what i dont know should it have a overflow or is it to full??It also has a cold weather front on maybe its to warm and not enough air flow.thanks for any help..

You just started a thread on this issue yesterday . You need to keep 1 thread on the issue. What does the temperature gauge read when it starts overflowing? Opening the winter front would probably be a good start .

I moved yesterdays thread after you replied with a vehicle type.

I merged your second thread.

Use this thread, do not start another one.

I also answered your issue.

Most (and its spelled) "deuces" don't like coolant all the way full. As long as you can see it in the filler neck you should be ok. The fact that your getting to 190 might be an indication of other issues though. Most of these trucks run cool and have problems getting to 180.

It's common if you fill it all the way to the top. Also check condition of the cap itself.
if the radiator is building excessive pressure then a head gasket could be to blame but more likely just over full.
