im near akron, and i am searching for a side mount fueltank, and thought maybe a deuce tank may work... dont care if its round or rectangle, but i need a tank to mount in the back of an offroad only m-37, preferably no more than 50gal. got something in nice shape you think may work? doesnt have to be from a deuce, just figured this would be best place to put this... any suggestions on where local i may find something used and inexpensive is appreciated !!

You're in Akron, go over to Adlemans in Canton. He has several deuces on the lot for parts. Many still have the tanks on them. It's just south of Canton on 43 in "Waco"

thanks guys. gimpy is near cincy, i believe, about 4+ hrs. had a local big rig repairshop/junkyard here in my town that had what i needed, but upon closer inspection when i went to pick it up, i found that both tanks off that truck were in perfect shape... except for where it was completey rusted through under the data plate... they were supp. to be pulling one from another truck for me to pick-up last monday, but i havent heard from them, and im guessing that means they dont want my business since ive talked to them multiple times, i had the cash in hand when i showed up for the other tank(i had looked at it week before, and told them id return on the exact day i showed back up), and they are too slow to use the "we're swamped" excuse... dont enjoy feeling like theyre doing me favor by taking my money, so id rather give it to someone that'll appreciate my current, and possible future business... like i said, i dont care about shape or what its off of. id even consider a used bed-mount toolbox/aux. tank combo, or even a used fuelcell if its at least 20gal. thanks again for the suggestions, and keep them coming!! and if you maybe have another idea for me to consider, id love to hear it ! :)

I did have an extra tank, until I crunched the one on the M35. May try going Gimpy's route, he bought a large fuel tank at Glen's surplus in Shelby. Think they are 120.00, and somewhere around 100 gallon.

On sam winers, they did not have any M35 trucks in the yard a year ago. (other than a M108 gasser) They may have one hidden away. Adelmans in canton will likely have one.

I was at Adelman's in the summer and they had quite a few M35's most complete. I was there again in the fall and most of the axles were gone but the rest of the trucks were there and I was able to get the parts I needed.

I have a decent M35 gasser tank in the garage. The mounting brackets might still be laying around, too.

ive checked at Sams, but no luck. they actually built my driveshaft for the M37, and got my wheel cylinders there. ive been wander ing that yard since i was a highschool kid in the 90's. i also knew Sams son, Harvey, that took over the business. he was a member of a country club that my mother had been office manager at since i was a toddler, and i worked there for many years ... and im close to there, so if anyone ever needs me to check on a part, let me know. its only 15 mins. away... and i can always use a reason to go here.
