If I had wiring that I needed to insulate and couldn't get heat shrink tubing on it, I'd bag the heat shrink idea and use the "self vulcanizing tape". Really, that stuff is BAD A..

Found this thread on Wednesday, Nov. 23. I have some of the heat shrink tape but it is not easy to use.
I began brushing on the liquid rubber/plastic insulation on the wiring on the M135. About three coats on wires that either had shed the rubber, or it was brittle, restored them nicely.
For brushes I got flux brushes from Harbor Freight super cheap. They clean easily in paint thinner.
