Any way to mount M1009 military radios in front?

This is likely a noob/dumb question, but gonna fire it anyway. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount my military radios (the 524 and the 442) on/near the front of the M1009, someplace around the dash. I've seen this done in USMC vehicles from time to time, but for the life of me, can't figure out how to make it work. These are just for 'show' and are NOT working.

I don't want them in the normal rear position because I still haul 2 kids (and tons of boy scouts LOL) from time to time.

I'd appreciate opinions or suggestions. I've run several searches but not having any luck.

And, if it's not workable, you won't hurt my little feelings :)

Thanks for any assistance!
