Got this tach off Ebay and was wondering if anybody has tried it ?

Its driven off the Alt. and needs to be adjusted to the right RPM by using a optical tach.

Was like $30 + with shipping.

Guess that makes me the test dummy . LOL

The acc terminal on the alternator regulator is an output that can be used to drive a tach. You can also find the factory signal at the ice diagnostic port.

I have been using those (type of) tacho's for a lot of years, on a wide variety of vehicles. The are a very useful (and pleasing) addition.

The factory signal should be set to work with a factory tach. You would have to calibrate a universal tach yourself. They usually come with instructions. I have some Datcon universal tachs just havent gotten around to trying one yet.
