Anyone changed the fuel pump filter on NHC250?

Due to recent fuel issues that I originally thought were transmission issues, I've been digging into my TMs on my M923. I noticed that there is a fuel pump filter. It is item #1 in the attached picture. It is in TM 9-2320-272-24-1 pg 474-475. I was curious if anyone has changed this and may have found a part supplier. I didn't see it listed on the 5 Ton Parts Quick Reference nor anywhere else so far.

Cummins quickserve online will probably be your best bet. I used them to get the gaskets for the air compressor when I changed it. Type your engine serial number in and it will tell you the parts you need.

Wow!! That looks really handy! I never knew about it and I'm sure there are others as well that don't. I wonder if it would be better to put it in the 5 ton wiki or start a separate thread and have it stickied.

Just when I thought I had changed every filter on my truck.... Here's one more! Yankee would you keep us posted on how easy it was to get a filter? And maybe some parts numbers.

Thanks !!

Will do!
I just need to find where the motor number is. I looked for a plate and couldn't find one. I did find some numbers stamped in the side of the engine block.

Look for the metal tag on the accessory drive housing, near where the IP mounts to the engine.

You can add the other info to the wiki.

I know we have discussed these little filters before, for the NHC-250 in the 809 series trucks.

Did you google the nsn or part number listed in the -24P?

Now one more filter to change.
That's what I was thinking when I saw that and so that is how this thread came about. It was more like what the F***!!! I'm attempting to track a filter down.

This filter will apply to everything except the M936. If you look at the next page 476 - 477. You have a different filter for the M936. At least that is how I'm reading it in the TM.

Thanks for the filter part numbers!!!

It looks like in the TM that the M936, M936A1 use the same filter.

I tried to purchase the filter today. Talk about shipping ripoff! They wanted almost $25 for shipping FEDEX ground! This order could have gone First Class Mail -its so light! I guess I will look for another source to purchase from. :-x

Wow!! There is always a catch. Is the shipping the same on a larger quantity? I know I'm waiting for quotes from a few sources that I found when I Googled the NSN.
