Anyone got a source for any CUT M-66 rings?

Ok, so they've got to get mutilated before being sold as scrap right? So who's buying the scrap that has the rings in them?

I'm not opposed to careful rewelding and grinding to get something that at least provides some rollover protection.

The guy in CA that sells trucks on EGAY must have a good source . He puts one on just about every truck he sells and they are not demilled .
While bolting the M66 ring on my 548 I was thinking that with the 548 being alluminum the ring does offer a tiny bit of rolover protection and was hoping th offroad parks that require rollbars may consider the gunmount as a form off protection .

I had some years ago that were cut up, there are roller bearings between the rings and the used the biggest tip to wack them up. Tried for a few days to piece one back together, no joy. They came to me as scrap and left the same way.

Bummer.

Into how many pieces had they whacked them?

Yeah, I'd love to have one for mounting a 1919 or something to, but even if it's non-fuctional as a gun ring, so long as it's sole duty is to prevent driver compression in the event of inverted operation, I'll be happy.

I'm hoping a cheap way can be found to do that. The way someone mentioned to me was to try to find a cut up ring before it got recycled.

at least 5 hunks, the same lot I got the old style trolly rings just cut in half, made a rig and wielded them back. Don't have pictures of the rings but here are some drive ends of 20mm Gatling guns that were "demilled" the barrels were in 6 pieces.
