Anyone have a civy part number for the front shocks on M800 series five ton? If it is a military only item does anyone know who has them? I have only checked with Saturn at this point.

It is likely the m818 uses the same shocks as the M52a2. I suggest using Gabrial Fleet-Line series shocks, but what part number for your truck I cannot say. Here's why: On my m52a2 tractor truck I removed the 10 leaf front springs and installed 17 leaf springs. this brought the original shocks to within 1/2 inch of full extension(not good). this required replacing the front shocks with longer ones. I went with Gabriel Fleet-Line #85730 these are slightly larger diameter but of the same style of telescoping shock as the military shocks. they even use the exact same bushings as the military shocks.

If you know the specifications for rebound, compression, stroke, lengths and type of mounting then you can find part numbers in Gabriel's "Commercial Ride Control Products" catalog, for example.
