have the insulated battery boxes, both heaters, everything is hooked up. have the control panel in the cab. anyone know how to use them? have never started them or done anything to them? one switch is marked (cab), does it also heat the cab? does the truck need to be running in order to use them? does anyone have a copy of the user manual?

thanks guys.

Read the manual but hear is a quick and dirty. Coolant heater or engine heater is for before start up. If installed correctly it will heat the cooland, engine oil, and trans fluid. You should run the cab heater for a few minutes before a really cold start as it heats up the battery box. When you have the engine started the coolant heater must be shut down and you can then still use the cab heater. The truck does not have to be running to use either heater. The cab heater heats the interior in place of the stock hot water cab heater.

Read the manual for the specifics because if you do not do the start up and shut down properly you could mess up the heaters. If your setup was installed by the military the use instructions should also be on the sunvisor. Flip it down and check.
