Arctic kit information?

Does anyone have any information on the necessity of the Arctic kit or tips on its installation? We purchased an M1070 for working in Northern Ontario, Canada, and our concern is with starting after an overnight shutdown. Not sure how often we may do this, or if it's worth the bother. May just let truck idle although not sure what fuel consumption will be. Any feedback is appreciated!
