Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
There are 2 versions of tensioner for the hmmwv, early serp and late serp…the version of serpentine dictates the model of tensioner. A2 trucks would have both versions based on build date of motor, all ECV and later would have only, one version, what referred to as the “Lipped” version, early had a smooth pulley. What is the width of the eight groove belt.
I have just purchased an ECV. It is missing the belt tensioner.
I guess what I am really asking is what are the differences between an ECV serpentine belt tensioner and a civilian 6.5 liter belt tensioner? Are they interchangeable and if not… what are the differences?
