Latest update:

We are only one week away from the Rally/Convoy to be held at Lake Dardanelle State Park in Russellville Arkansas on May 10-11. You should have your vehicle checked over and ready to roll for the trip. Don't forget to fuel up, bring chairs for you and your riders, and be sure to bring along any snacks or medications you will need. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.

Due to the terrible accident at Arkansas Nuclear One we will not be making a stop at the plant. We will still be passing close to the plant for a good view of the facility. Because of the loss of the stop we are changing the convoy departure time to 8:30am with the drivers meeting at 8:00am. We will be serving the coffee and donuts in the park at the HQ Pavilion at 7:30am so get there early to visit and enjoy a breakfast snack with your fellow participants. You should still plan on getting to the park by 7:00am so you have time to prepare your vehicle and find your position in line. The squad list will be emailed in a few days so you will know where to line up when you arrive at the park. The schedule, route map, and squad list will be handed out at the drivers meeting.

There are no changes to the overall Rally schedule. We will still return to the park by 2pm on Saturday and the BBQ Dinner will be served at 6pm with the awards presented after dinner. Please come early on Friday if you can and join us for a short drive to the Russellville Senior Activity Center for lunch. We are hoping to have at least six vehicles for the trip to the Senior Center and we will depart the park at 11am.

Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and we look forward to seeing everyone in Russellville.

I got my troop seats, singles, and my 105a3 painted for the convoy. (Big thanks to Glen at BFR). I didn't have time for the MERDC camo paint job I wanted. It should be painted by the time DDay rolls around. Looking forward to the convoy, see ya all Saturday.

That looks nice. I wish I could go but I have several deuce maintenance projects that will take up the gas money.
Sorry to hear that you won't be making it. At least plan on trying to make it out here for Petit Jean in Sept.

On a side note, I have reserved the room at Western Sizzlin Friday night for 7pm so we can all meet up and eat :) I'll see you all there.

I just got back to the house and as usually it was great spending time with my southern cousins. It was my first time for this event and to me it really seemed well planned and well provisioned! For you guys that had to cut out early there was a ton of tasty BBQ left over from the dinner. Can't wait till this fall for the Petit Jean gig.redballin 012.jpgredballin 008.jpgredballin 009.jpgredballin 006.jpgredballin 013.jpgredballin 019.jpgredballin 024.jpgredballin 026.jpg

Well it was great seeing you again Dave!! I'm glad that you had a good time and took some pictures. My POS camera decided it wasn't going to so I'm relying on borrowing pictures from those that took some. I look forward to seeing you again.
