So there are 2 generally available - ibis tek and fixed. Honestly both seem like terrible options, all of the ones I see are incomplete or the glass is either broken or hazed over. Who has done this and what’s your experience? Here are pics of my trucks current status, sides are armored but the front is naked. Have a tweaked roof (they hit something pretty hard!).

I put the ibis tek knockouts in mine. Both windows were delaminated and scratched on the inside, outside was good. Passenger side isn't too bad (yet) so I left it alone. Driver side I found instructions on this site and cut out the two inner layers so its just a thick chunk of glass. I used an oscillating saw, took me 3 hours over two days to do one side, could probably do it again in one hour after seeing how it all comes apart and getting my technique down. The glass is totally clear after removing the laminate, you can see the fine heating wires for the defroster in it that I never even noticed before getting the inner layers out. My 1151 must have had the fixed windshield, I had to drill and mount nutserts to install the handle spacers but that wasn't too difficult.

I guess it’s ibis tek then - would be more appropriate for my truck they way it sits, but it originally had fixed. The guy I got my armor from is developing a repro armored windshield set that utilizes normal glass but still looks armored. Eventually someone is going to have to come up with something as ibis tek stuff seems to be getting harder to find and more expensive.
